The Activity Timer is a reusable component in UI Builder that tracks the time agents spend on a specific activity, such as a record or an interaction. Providing real-time agent metrics improves visibility into time spent across channels, enabling managers to identify inefficiencies, improve resource allocation, and boost productivity.
The Activity timer accurately tracks time spent by agents working on records by understanding when a workspace tab is active or inactive by capturing:
- Entry/Exit/Switching of tabs
- Parent vs child tab activity
- Inactivity detection (manual, session timeouts, etc)
