The Operational Sustainability Integration with DEX enables real-time tracking of energy consumption and CO₂e emissions from employee laptops and desktops. By ingesting telemetry data from ServiceNow's Digital End User Experience (DEX) or third-party tools, this integration delivers accurate, device-level sustainability insights directly within the Operational Sustainability Workspace. Organizations can monitor trends, assess asset coverage, and support compliance with sustainability reporting standards using live operational data from end-user devices.
- Real-time energy data integration — Ingests energy consumption data directly from end-user devices (laptops and desktops) through DEX or other tools, enabling accurate and timely sustainability reporting.
- Automated CO₂e emission calculations — Converts real-time energy usage into carbon emissions using regional emission factors. Automated and calculated metric definitions eliminate reliance on estimated values.
- Model and location-based aggregation — Aggregates data by device model and state location to provide granular insights for sustainability planning and action.
- Integrated Operational Sustainability Workspace dashboard — Appears as a dedicated tab within the Operational Sustainability Workspace and Sustainable IT dashboard, offering intuitive visualization and alignment with existing reporting workflows.
