The application is intended to do the following:
- Import Cisco ACI & MSO discovered devices into ServiceNow CMDB
- Import Cisco ACI & MSO setup Relationships (between devices setup in the app infrastructure of the APIC) into the CMDB to populate CIs and/or CI Relationships.
- Discovered inventory consists of Physical Topology and Application Topology
- Physical Topology comprising - Fabric switches, line cards, power supplies, Fans, System Images
- Application Topology comprising - Tenants, Application Profiles, End Point Groups, Security Policies, VRF, Bridge Domains, Subnets
- Cisco ACI & MSO Cluster supported
Import Cisco ACI Snapshot and Snapshot diffs into ServiceNow CMDB (utilizing Cisco ACI as a source of truth)
The logical components can also be configured using the table UI Actions or by creating custom workflows using the activity packs provided.
Change Management to upgrade Firmware(Controller & Switches)
Cisco ACI Application uses the MID server to fetch the physical, application topology and cloud Inventory from Cisco ACI Fabric controller (APIC). Support added for Application topology and cloud inventory from Cisco MultiSite-Orchestrator (MSO). It will imports physical and application topology information to map to ServiceNow CMDB tables and it will also make the relationships with fetched data.
● Cisco ACI Physical and Application topology discovery is done through scheduled jobs and Cisco ACI Discovery UI Action.
● Cisco Cloud Inventory discovery is also done through scheduled jobs and Cisco ACI Discovery UI Action.
● Cisco MSO Application topology discovery is done through scheduled job and MSO DIscovery UI Action.

● This application uses HTTP REST APIs to retrieve information from Cisco APIC as defined in http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/aci/apic/sw/1-x/api/rest/b_APIC_RESTful_API_User_Guide.html. This application is compatible with Cisco APIC version 3.0 or higher releases.
● The MID Server Should be able to ping the ServiceNow instance and MID server should be directly reachable to APIC.
