Field Service Territory Planning allows organizations to create and manage territories and the work within the territories. Territories are built around geographies and resources allowing the organizations to allocate the work and technicians effectively.
Territories can be updated to match the resource availability or demand. The plugin also evaluates defined conditions to match each work order task to the most appropriate territory and the best-positioned technician or crew to handle it.
- Define Field Service territories using geographic boundaries to structure where service work is performed and managed.
- Assign agents or crews to territories permanently or temporarily, enabling clear ownership of service coverage and resource availability.
- Identify the most relevant territory for a work order or work order task using configurable conditions and matching rules.
- Support assignment of work to the agents or crews best positioned to execute service based on the associated territory.
- Use the Territory Planning Console to visualize territories on an interactive map, analyze territorial boundaries, and edit or adjust them to reflect changes in coverage, demand, or operational requirements.
Fixed:
• Fixed an issue where selecting a territory in the Territory Planning console did not highlight the corresponding region on the map. The territory selections in the Territory Planning console now highlight the correct region on the map as expected.
• Territory-related map features (drawing tools and visualization layers) could previously stop working with Google updates to its Maps API. The integration uses a stable, tested map version when territory features are enabled, reducing the risk of these features breaking unexpectedly after a Google Maps update.
